The Great Castell Kayak Race started in 2003 as a way to raise funds for local charities while having fun. Since then, the race has grown to the biggest kayak race in Texas! The funds now benefit Chemo Sabe, a Cancer Resource through Music therapy and patient navigation.

The race course is 12 miles long
- NO REFUNDS ON PREPAY
- The Online Fee is $50
- JUNE 2ND CUT-OFF FOR ONLINE Register ($50 entry fee)
- Late fee is $10 extra @ June 4th live registration ($60 entry fee)

Put-in is at the Llano River RV Park in Mason County and
take-out at RiverSounds Recording Resort in Castell Texas. -
The race pre-registration fee includes: personal insurance, tee shirt, bandanna, snacks, drinks.

- Race entry fee also includes free Finish Line music concert & one free night of camping at RiverSounds on Friday (the night before the race).
- Riversounds camping is $15/per night/per public.
- Spectators free day of race.
- Music free to public-please donate!
- YOU MUST PAY to camp or RV at RV Park
- All paddlers must have a PFD and a cell phone.
- Prizes must be picked up at awards ceremony @2PM
- All childern must be accompanied by adult
- Spectator area opens at 10AM for finish line.
